We’re proud to share that ILM Highland has been awarded Gold status through the Highland Employer Charter, recognising our commitment to fair work, strong employment practices, and positive impact across the Highlands.
The award highlights the work happening across the organisation to support our team, strengthen communities, and create opportunities through training, sustainability and social enterprise. It reflects the values that sit at the heart of ILM Highland and the way we aim to operate every day.
The Highland Employer Charter, led by Highland Council, recognises organisations that demonstrate good employment practices, including fair pay, staff support, skills development, community engagement and contribution to the circular economy. Achieving Gold status places ILM Highland among a group of employers working to build a stronger and more sustainable future for the region.
Over the past year, we have continued to build on our commitment to People, Place & Planet, making sure that the work we do benefits not only our organisation, but the wider community as well. From creating local jobs and training opportunities to supporting reuse, recycling and environmental projects, the Charter reflects the same principles that guide our day-to-day work.
The award was presented at Inverness Town House, where employers from across the Highlands came together to celebrate their achievements as part of the Charter programme. ILM Highland staff representative Ryan collected the award on behalf of the organisation.
Being recognised at this level is something we are very proud of, but it is also a reminder that good employment practice is an ongoing commitment. As a social enterprise, our aim is always to create opportunities, support people to develop skills, and make a positive difference in the communities we serve.
