Electrical re-use and repair
While some items donated to our electrical recycling programme are beyond repair, others have the potential for continued use. Any items that are suitable for reuse are carefully identified and taken to our reuse workshop to undergo thorough testing, cleaning and refurbishment.
Re-Use & Repair
Once ready for sale, the fully-functioning and PAT-tested refurbished appliances are sold in our retail shops in Alness, Inverness and online – alongside a range of brand-new appliances.
Our refurbished appliances are available for sale across all ranges, including washing machines, washer dryers, tumble dryers (vented and condenser), cookers, fridges and freezers.
Donate your items
Our home safety & independence services, which support the most vulnerable in our community, are funded in part by revenue generated through our retail and waste services, including our electrical recycling schemes and shop sales.
To maximise the number of units for sale, we gratefully receive any donations of saleable appliances. Click here to find out where you can donate your old appliances.
If you buy an appliance from our shop and we deliver it to your home, we will uplift your old appliance for free.
