ILM Highland is a trusted social enterprise serving communities across the Highlands for over 30 years. With dedicated staff across all departments, we provide essential services including electrical recycling, refurbished appliances, and home safety & independence support.
What we do
We help families stay safely in their homes, access affordable essential appliances, and support our communities to recycle responsibly, learn new skills, and reduce social isolation.
We are committed to playing our part in the Fair Work Convention’s Vision, which aims for a world-leading working life in Scotland —where fair work drives success, wellbeing, and prosperity for individuals, businesses, organisations, and society. To achieve this, we are developing a workplace built on the five key dimensions of Fair Work: effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment, and respect. This commitment has been recognised through the awarding of the Gold Charter Award.
By combining environmental responsibility, social impact, and fair work practices, we strengthen our communities, reduce waste, and protect the Highlands for future generations.

Putting people first
Our Care & Repair, Handyperson services and Telecare help older adults and people with disabilities remain safe, warm and independent in their own homes.
We work across remote and rural communities, making it easier for people to recycle responsibly and access affordable appliances.
Through our Repair Café and community programmes, we help people build practical skills, reduce isolation and develop confidence and purpose, while creating sustainable employment and volunteering opportunities and supporting our teams to grow and develop.

From Ross-Shire to Moray, we transform waste into valuable resources, supporting local families and strengthening the region.
By recycling electrical goods and providing affordable solutions, we help build resilient communities that are better equipped for the future.

Caring for our environment
We reduce waste by recycling electrical items and keeping them out of landfill. Where possible, we refurbish and rehome appliances, helping families make more sustainable and affordable choices.
