LM Highland is delighted to have been shortlisted for two awards at the Prosper Highlands & Islands Business Excellence Awards 2026.
The social enterprise has been named a finalist in both The Highland Council Award for Purposeful Business and the Stemovators Good Neighbour Award.
The two nominations recognise ILM Highland’s continued commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact across the Highlands.
As a social enterprise, purpose is at the heart of everything we do. Through our recycling and reuse services, independent living support, employment opportunities, retail services and community-focused projects, we work to deliver practical support while creating wider benefits for local people and communities.
The The Highland Council Award for Purposeful Business recognises ILM Highland’s wider commitment to making a difference for People, Place and Planet, reflecting the way social and environmental purpose is built into the organisation’s work.
The Stemovators Good Neighbour Award recognises organisations demonstrating a strong commitment to community engagement and positive local impact. For ILM Highland, this reflects the importance of working alongside communities, partners and local organisations to create practical change across the region.
The shortlisting comes during an exciting period for ILM Highland, following the opening of its Training & Reuse Village in Inverness and the continued development of its retail, reuse, recycling and community services across the Highlands.
Being recognised in two categories is a fantastic achievement for the whole ILM Highland team and reflects the contribution of the staff, volunteers, partners and communities who help make the organisation’s work possible.
The Prosper Highlands & Islands Business Excellence Awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 10 September 2026 at the Macdonald Drumossie Hotel in Inverness, where the winners will be announced.
