ILM Highland is delighted to launch our new website and online retail shop! That is right you can now browse our stock from the comfort of your own home.
Did you know that from the start of Lockdown 61% of Brits are shopping more online now than ever before. The survey was carried out by the Retail Times. At ILM Highland our business is a social enterprise and relies on income from our Electrical Retail Shop to support our charitable services. With that in mind we therefore decided to embrace the online world and came up with our new online shop and a fresh look for our brand and website!
For over 26 years we have been based in the Highlands delivering a number of valuable and important services. As time has gone on it was becoming clear that not everyone has insight into what ILM does. We therefore decided if we were going to embrace the online marketplace it was important to us that everyone knows just how much they help their community by supporting ILM Highland.
We would love for you to take some time and explore our site and read a little more about what we do but we realise time is of the essence so in this blog we wanted to give you a little whistle stop tour of our business to show you just how much you help us achieve by supporting the services that we provide.
What is ILM Highland?
Home Improvement Service – We offer home improvements through our Care & Repair and Handyperson services to help with day to day living requirements to keep vulnerable people at home. We also offer a Veterans Handyperson Service
Electrical Waste Service – Did you know that over 170 million new electrical items are purchased in the UK each year, but currently less than a third of these are recycled?
Electrical Waste ends up in landfill if not disposed of correctly! If you were to recycle that waste, ILM Highland we can break it down to ensure we help the environment in the best way possible. By offering this service we are able to create jobs in the area, support our charitable Home Improvement services and keep stock high in our Electrical Retail Shop for refurbished goods, as well as look after our precious planet.
Electrical Retail Shop – Our retail shop has been open since 2004 in here you can find Washing Machines, Tumble Dryers, Cookers and Vacuum Cleaners – for anything electrical think ILM Highland! We also offer a Home Delivery service as well as an Uplift service for your unwanted appliances.
By having all of these services it means that every penny made through ILM Highland can maintain our charitable service offering to vulnerable people in the Highlands – it’s at the heart of what we do.
We hope you like our new website – we have tried to keep it short and sweet but we are always available to chat more about our business. We love what we do and we really hope you love our new site as much as we do.
