BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Circa £30K
ILM (Highland) is a successful social enterprise with charitable status, which delivers services that benefit the people of the Highlands. We would like to appoint a Business Development Manager to explore and establish new business opportunities that will reinforce the company well into the future. The main focus, but not exclusively, will be on the environmental side of the business
The person should have significant business development experience and be able to operate at a senior level within private, public and third sectors. Being able to identify opportunities and assessing whether these are financially viable is essential. Effective marketing of these initiatives is also important.
Post is for one year initially, but may be extended beyond this, should it prove sustainable.

Training opportunities
A small number of work experience and training places are available in the reuse workshop. Working under supervision, these posts will involve repairing and preparing machines ready for onward sale.
As part of a team, you will learn new skills and gain valuable, practical experience in assessing and repairing domestic appliances, ensuring these machines are suitably prepared ready for the retail market.
In addition, work experience will be in collecting, loading and moving WEEE
This will involve working with a variety of tools and equipment necessary in the refurbishment of units.

Volunteer opportunities
ILM Highland is always keen to speak to people who would like to volunteer their services. Being a volunteer can be very rewarding, especially for adults who feel they would like to do something worthwhile with their spare time.
